Oblivion is an RPG lover’s wet dream. For starters, if you have an incredibly beefy PC, the graphics are stunning. In the vast outdoor areas, think of it as a better-looking Far Cry with elves and goblins. In terms of gameplay, it’s the GTA: San Andreas of RPGs. You can follow a main quest but you can take on adventures on your own pace as you discover new areas on foot or on your trusty steed. Character customization is very deep. Thinking of creating a stealthy she-elf who’s good at hand-to-hand combat, haggling and making potions on the side? Oblivion let’s you do just that.
